A worldwide health concern, the Zika virus has been a much discussed problem around much of the world. The virus is transmitted by the Aedes Mosquito, and it can also be transmitted through sexual activity. Because there is no current vaccine, it is vital for anyone traveling to Zika infected places to protect themselves from infection as much as is humanly possible.
The MPH degree department at The University of Arizona created the below infographic with the aim of educating people more about the virus and the risks involved. The virus can be fatal, and is especially risky for pregnant woman as it can lead to birth defects. Developmental disorders have also been noted.
