This is a great place to enjoy a quaint and quiet place, but don’t think that this means little wine. There are over 20 wineries in the region and many are within walking or cycling distance from the centre of the town. Aside from this, this is a great place to enjoy great cafes, shops and restaurants and makes it a must visit destination on any wine tour of New Zealand.
Blenheim
This is another great place located on the South Island that has over 20 wineries within driving range of the town. It is a great place to do a tour and spend some more time. In the area there is some stunning nature and driving in this part of the world is an absolute pleasure. From here you can also take a stop in Wellington and enjoy all the best of what the capital has to offer.
