Every Tuesday through Friday from 12 pm-2 pm, you’ll find a number of street food vendors parked along Granary Square at King’s Cross. Many of the vendors at Kerb KX are new to the London street food scene, so you’ll be tasting creations from some of the city’s hottest innovators. Most of the food options are modern and inventive takes on classic like burritos, pizza, burgers, and doughnuts. However, the atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and fun. Many people enjoy their lunch spread out on the grass near the canal.

Kerb has recently spread to new locations across the city, including Gherkin, Spitalfields, Paddington, and UCLU. So no matter which London hotel you’re staying at, you’re likely close to one of Kerb’s events. Check their website for dates and times at these other locations.

Brixton Market

At Brixton Market, London visitors can get the incredible street food flavors in a slightly more established location. Situated in the former Granville Arcade, this covered area features over 20 culinary stops. Ample outdoor seating is provided, which is a major perk for those who don’t enjoy eating their street food standing up. It’s open Monday through Saturday, with live music and late hours making for an especially vibrant atmosphere on Thursday and Friday nights.

You’ll find flavors from around the world at Brixton Market, including fare hailing from the Caribbean, China, Thailand, and the Middle East, among others. The prices at these establishments range from ultra-cheap to mid-range, and some serve alcohol or have a BYOB policy.

Berwick Street Market

Head down to Soho to experience Berwick Street Market and enjoy some of the most affordable street food options in London. Stalls are open Monday through Friday, with most open from around 12 pm to 2 pm. There are only a handful of vendors open at any given time, but the selection changes daily, so there’s always something new to try.

Many Londoners who work in the vicinity stop here for lunch, so you can expect a crowd of mostly locals on most days. Common foods found here include pizza, burgers, and burritos along with at least one or two more exotic offerings such as bahn mi, pho falafel, and samosas.

Remember that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on food in London in order to get experience the city’s many culinary offerings.
