Jaipur Should Be On Every Bucket List

Are you looking for a place to have a great travel experience? A place that is perfect for you, will have everything you need; sights, food, activities and great hotels? If the answer to both of those questions are yes, then look no further than the amazing city of Jaipur.

Jaipur is a place where you can experience festivals, culture, delicious cuisine, history, traditions and unique architecture. It’s know as the majestic city of India, and after you visit you’ll see that it is certainly worth of such a title. With mouth watering food to amazing things to see in Jaipur, I have put together a great list of reasons to convince you that it needs to be your next port of call for a travel experience.

Spellbinding History

Everywhere you look in Jaipur you will see evidence of a rich history. Despite neighbouring cities in the state becoming very modernised, Jaipur has managed to preserve its history and also a feeling of grandeur. All you have to do is stroll along the streets taking in the sites and you will learn all about the folklore and local traditions. I highly recommend a visit to Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal.

Mouth Watering Food

It would be a crime for you not to eat everything you see when you’re in Jaipur – so forget any sort of diet you are on and leave it at home! I promise that as soon as you’re on the plane home you’ll start to miss the local delicacies. Just writing about them now makes me hungry. The Rajasthani dishes on offer give you an authentic taste of Indian food, the best part is that there’s loads of variations to try. I would have to say that Dal Baati Churma is the number one dish in Jaipur, you’ll find it at nearly every restaurant. Let me know where the best one is. Then don’t leave the city without trying Lal Mass, Sangri Ki Sabji and Rajasthani Kadi. If you have a sweet tooth like me then you’ll love Ghewar and Alwar ka Halwa.

Magnificent Hotels

As I mentioned before, the architecture in Jaipur is amazing and this means that many of the hotels are in very grand old buildings. If you’re looking to experience true Indian luxury then you’ll find it in abundance here. Jaipur hotels are some of the best I found in India, the good news is that you don’t need to break the bank if you’re on a budget.
