Black Friday: How To Get The Best Deals

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are becoming two very important dates for the shopping calendar, particularly because Christmas is just around the corner and it is the perfect time to get the Christmas gifts that you want, at a hugely discounted price. I have found this Black Friday Ebook very helpful and it talks about some of the best tactics for approaching Black Friday this year. I wanted to talk about my approach to Black Friday and how you can maximise your spending to get the best deals.

Go online

I think going into retail stores can be quite uncomfortable, especially when a lot of people know what is going to happen and many people are simply anticipating the next week and what it will bring. This is also an added stress on retailers too, because they must put more staff into their stores and get them to work more hours. The rewards, however, are very very good. I personally like to stay out of retail stores, because there is a frenzied environment that might mean I spend too soon. When you shop online you can easily see how things are tracking in several stores and make your decision.

Research beforehand

At most times in the year I always have something I think I would really like to have and Black Friday is the perfect time to buy these. I like to make a list of the things that I want before Black Friday and keep watching particular items when it comes around. This usually gets me some good results, because I buy the things that I actually want and not the things that are cheap and want to buy just because they are cheap. One thing I really liked about the Black Friday Ebook was that you should try things on as part of your research, because you really do not want to be trying something on on Black Friday, with so many people to contend with. This can save you a lot of time and I would highly recommend making this a big part of your research.

Newsletters

If you have never signed up for a newsletter, this is the time to get the best information delivered straight into your inbox. Rather than searching for deals you can get your specific preferences delivered to you from several different retailers. Every good retailer will have a newsletter, so sign up for it!

On top of this I would also recommend setting up an account for a few retailers that you are interested in and this saves you time and the hassle of doing it during Black Friday. It is important to remember that the increased website traffic during this time could cause retailers websites to fail and for you to potentially miss out if you don’t have an account.

I would like to say good luck on your Black Friday shopping adventure and I hope you get the best deals possible.
